Who we are

We are 3 great friends who live in this amazing place, we love to laugh and drink coffee and of course eat cake. We wanted to share some of our Joy and love of this place with people who have moved here and are adjusting to a new life and settling . We know how stressful and lonely it can be and we wanted to provide a place to relax and have a few hours away from the mayhem to laugh, cry and be with friends.

has lived in Queensland her whole life. Having spent most of her time flying for Qantaslink she has tried an enormous variety of jobs before stopping to raise her beautiful family. She now has her hands full with 3 kids aged 6 to 12 which keep her on her toes! Chrissy is our fountain of knowledge and can find the best plumber or let you know the most beautiful campsite in Queensland.

Is another born and bred Queensland girl, she keeps us on our toes being a triathlete, working as a manager for a busy medical practice and running her own personal organiser business. She has 3 little people aged 9 to 14years. Between her and Chrissy there is nothing in our home town that they can’t find out for you.

Is the resident foreigner, originally from the UK and many years ago was a registered nurse before her husband’s job transplanted their family to the USA for 7 yrs. Moving from the UK to Florida then to Georgia has given her a unique perspective on the stresses and strains of relocation. She then moved her family to settle in Brisbane 5yrs ago. Having completed 12 house moves in 20 years of marriage across 9 cities and 3 continents there’s not a lot she doesn’t know about relocation. She has 2 kiddies aged 12 and 19.

We would love to hear from you and have you join us at any of our events. Or if you are thinking of moving to Brisbane and have some questions,  browse through our site and hopefully you’ll find some answers or drop us an email and say hello.

We look forward to meeting you at JOY
