Hello Joy Friends
Well I have decided to leave this blog to the kids. So I have asked my fabulous daughter to write this blog from a kids perspective, thanks Grace!!
Recently my family and I went to white water world (and Dreamworld) for New Year’s Day. It was so much fun. Whitewater world is located in the suburb of Coomera on the Gold Coast, and is right next door to Dreamworld.
They have an assortment of slides for all ages, from Wiggle Bay and Pipeline Plunge for the little ones, to their newly installed triple vortex slide for the older ones. One of the rides my family enjoys is the hydrocoaster, which is fun for all ages. It is the only uphill water slide in Australia, and anyone taller than 110cm can ride it.
Another ride that we enjoy is the green room. It is a really fun ride, where you go through a slide that drops into a massive green cone, and you then slide along the cone and out into a small pool. The height limit is 120cm.
If you’re not that into slides, and you just want to relax, then the cave of waves is for you. The cave of waves is a wave pool with inflatable rings available if you just want to relax in the pool. Also, when you hear a siren-like noise go off, that signals the start of the waves in the pool. These waves are fun to swim through if you’re a kid like me, and if you’re an adult, you can just wade around the pool.
White water world is not just slides, it has relaxing cabanas as well. To hire one for a full day, it costs $115 and you can book online. The cabanas include a refrigerator, a docking station for your phone or iPod, a sun lounge and a coffee table. They’re the perfect place to rest after a big day at whitewater world, and perfect to store your togs and towels if you want to pop over into Dreamworld. The cabanas are not the only place you can store your togs, towels and maybe lunch. Whitewater world gives you the option of storing your things in a locker, which can be found in three different places around the park.
Another thing that my family likes to do is we will place our things down in Whitewater world where there is plenty of undercover seating and pop over to Dreamworld, then come back over for lunch. Don’t worry, this is perfectly safe.
Whitewater world also has 3 cafes you can buy food or drinks from if you’re hungry or thirsty. It also has bathrooms, a first aid office and an information desk if you have any questions about the park. If you’re looking to escape the seemingly endless summer heat, then whitewater world is the place to go. With a good balance of thrilling rides and rides for the little kiddies, it’s the perfect place to go on a hot summers day.
You can find more information about whitewater world on their website, whitewaterworld.com.au. This website will also give you all the information you need about the different types of yearly passes that they have on offer.
Thanks Grace think we’ll have to get you back as a guest blogger again that was awesome information 🙂
