Schoolies Alternatives

Hello Joy peeps

So many of you will have grade 12 teenage kids who will be thinking about schoolies and what they can do.

For those who don’t know, schoolies is the time straight after grade 12 finish all their exams and 1000’s upon 1000’s of  these teenagers then head off to the Gold coast or somewhere similar for a week of intense partying.

For lots of kids though this is not a appealing option and yet they all want to celebrate in someway the end of such a huge event called SCHOOL!!!!

So we wanted to let you know about a few other options that are out there for them

Now the biggest one is Scripture Union Schoolies these guys are a Christian run company. They offer really safe really fun trips all over, from sailing around the Whitsundays to taking a trip to Hawaii. These guys arrange it all for you, but you do need to book well in advance as all their camps book out quickly. So if you like the sound of it grab a friend and book it or go alone and make some awesome new friends there!

Another company are World youth Adventures these guys have trips to Thailand, Vietnam and Nepal which last a couple of weeks and will often involve some kind of community project work

Rustic Pathways are again another company that offer overseas adventures with the possibility of some community work as well.

Projects Abroad are a company that let you do some volunteer work all over the world !! from teaching to manual labour.

Schoolies Revolution are based in Victoria and again are about getting involved with volunteering during your time with them and actually making a difference here in Australia.

PinkFish On the Sunshine Coast runs adventure holidays for christian youth, including a schoolies tour to Fiji.

Makes you wish you were back in school again!

So for those grade 12’s and those coming up to it in a few years time, there are so many options out there for you to have an amazing time!

Blessings
