Noosa on the Water

Hi Joy peeps

Sarah here today 🙂

So yep we’re covering Noosa again, but what can we say its just so beautiful there and so much more than just the gorgeous Hasting street and main beach.

We were fortunate enough to have a few days away up in Noosa recently at what can be a very busy time of the year with the school holidays, but we actually had such a quiet and peaceful few days surrounded by some of the most stunning scenery !

Yep there were boats and water involved again 🙂 I know don’t laugh every time I write about time away it always involves being on the water which as you know makes me so sick !! Think I must be crazy we just can’t stay away from it. It’s just so beautiful !

So yep we found an awesome apartment to stay in right on the water,  great complex called

Culgoa Point Beach resort

Which had everything we needed for a great stay, a 1/2 size tennis court, a heated pool, rental of kayaks and paddle boards and beautiful self catering apartments and they actually have a few moorings available if you want to take your own boat . Keep an eye for deals they have going on, and always check Wotif, Stayz and Groupon for any deals

We chose to spend each day out on the water exploring the stunning everglades and canals and inlets around Noosa. We made some great memories on our own area of river, tubing and wake boarding with not another soul to be seen . We spent some happy hours talking and laughing, fishing and swimming which we all know are so precious as families, as kiddies grow up so quickly! and times of peace and joy together are few and to be treasured

There are so many options for getting out on the water it really is so easy .

Now don’t panic if you don’t have a boat licence ( yep you have to have a boat licence here in QLD to be able to drive a jet ski or a power boat )

There are many rental options that you can go for even without a licence. There are potoons which are great if you have a large group of people and often have a BBQ attached so you can go for the whole day There are small boats which are great for pottering around up and down.

There are jet skiis ( now you will only be able to ride these in the designated area without a licence but its still great fun ! )

Or if you like a quieter mode of transport go with a paddle board or a kayake and just enjoy the quiet. Gympie Terrace is the street to go to to find all these hiring places and they even have fishing rods and bait to hire so you can catch your dinner 🙂

If you don’t fancy driving yourself then there are plenty of cruises up and down the river which you can just sit back on and enjoy.

here are a couple of options ( we haven’t tried these so let us know it you do 🙂 )
