We’ve tried to pick our Joy 10 favourite restaurants in Brisbane just for you guys
So hard to know where to start there are so many we love but I will try to narrow it down to a few. It also goes without saying as we love all our readers so much we will continue to research all those other restaurants out there for you, a tough job I know.
Anyway here are a few of out FAVE’S!!!!!!
Gerrard’s Bistro – Don’t forget out the back of the restaurant is Gerrard’s Bar for pre-dinner drinks and snacks which is awesome. I have to say Gerrard’s is probably one of my all time favourites in Bris Vegas, you never leave disappointed.
Jamies Italian Now you can’t go past Jamies Italian in the CBD, this is a real treat for an occasion! amazing food and a great atmosphere!
Libertine situated at the Barracks at Paddington. Their cuisine is French combined with Vietnemese and is amazing. This is another great place for sharing meals and they do have great banquets from $65 per head, which I have tried a couple of times and the food was outstanding and just kept on coming.
Nickel Kitchen and Bar – on Ann Street in the Valley is a fantastic place for a special occasion. This one is not a family place but perfect for somewhere to remember. It has a retro feel and you find yourself transported back to the 1950’s ( ok well sort of 🙂 ) And we loved it !
Mecca Bah – Specialising in tastes of the Middle East and Morocco. Love this place, we have been going here for years and it is always amazing, great share plates as well. Don’t forget Mecca Bah is also at the Gold Coast at Broadbeach.
Billy Kart Kitchen – Celebrity Chef Ben O’Donoghue and his wife Dee own and operate Billy Kart. They are open Mon – Fri for breakfast and Lunch and do Friday night specialty Dinners which are well worth a visit. We have been there for Greece and America and they were amazing. These guys have now opened a venue in the West End as well as in Annerley.
Kim Khan – This is our local Vietnemese restaurant also specialising in other asian dishes. We have been coming here for over 15 years. They are open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner but if you are wise for a dinner seating on Friday nights and weekends you should book.
Urbane So this is one my husband has taken our gorgeous 19 yr old daughter to on a daddy daughter date and they had a fabulous evening. So if you have a special occasion coming up this place is perfect, as its fine dining and definitely has the air of a special evening.
The EURO – so these guys are right next door to Urbane, but have a much more relaxed atmosphere to chill out with friends and enjoy great food. We went with friends who reckon these guys had some of the best vegan and vegetarian food they had eaten. So praise indeed
Breakfast Creek Hotel – The Brekky Creek as Locals call it is an institution. If it is steak you are after, look no further. This place is an Icon in Brisbane’s History. You can also call in and grab a quick steak roll which is like nothing you have ever had and is worth the trip just for this, but if you have the chance head to the Spanish Beer Garden where you can pick your own steak YUM!!!!
e’cco Bistro – This is also another Icon in Brisbane. Phillip Johnson is the chef at e’cco specialising in modern Australian Cuisine. I without doubt had the best risotto ever at e’cco.
This is just a handful of our favourites, but please if you have any others please let us know so we can check them out.
