What better fun can you have than racing around a Go Kart track with some friends
We did this as a family outing during the school holidays and it was great fun! Even our 10yr old was able to keep up with the pace with a track full of adult drivers who were all out to win 🙂
There are several places you can do this around Brisbane at venues either inside or outside .
We went to Go karting Brisbane located on Kingsford Smith Drive. There is no age restriction but you do need to be at least 140cm tall so you can reach the peddles ( always helpful we find 😉 )
What is great is you don’t need to prebook you can just show up with prices starting from $44 per race . But do keep in mind that school holidays are busier. They also do group bookings which could be fun for a party .
now these Gokarts have little lawnmower engines and they can go ! 🙂 and it truly feels fast when you are close to the ground and is great fun. It seems to be the more you do the more addictive it becomes. Lets just say the competitive spirit was alive and well in our family during these races.
The other major GoKarting place is Kingston Parkway.
Here you need to be a minimum of 11 yrs old and 120cm to be able to drive one of their Formula Karts but this guys do have Rookie Karts that you can drive is you’re between 8-10 yrs old. And they actually have some dual seat karts if you are between 5-8 yrs old so something for everyone. These guys have a more complicated pricing menu so click the link to look that one up.
So for anyone looking to release the speed within 🙂 this can be a great fun way to spend some time.
