Gift/Homeware Shops in the west of Brisbane

Hi Joy friends

Christmas, birthday, mothers day, just because you care day, theres’ always a good reason 🙂

Looking for that ideal gift for someone, need that perfect piece for your house and not sure where to find it, look no further. We have researched some local gift/homeware stores in the western suburbs that can help you.

Millie Jones

First up we have Millie Jones. Located at shop 10, Jindalee Village Central, 168 Sinnamon Road, Jindalee, ph 3376 8800. Millie Jones has an amazing range of candles, jewellery, handbags, women’s fashion and homewares. There is also a fabulous children’s corner for expecting mums, if you already have little ones or if you just need a gift for someone who has just had a little one.

The girls are so helpful here. I have walked in on several occasions with no idea of what I am looking for and always manage to leave with the perfect gift, and of course it is always beautifully gift wrapped, one less thing to worry about Yahoo!!!! They are also very honest when it comes to fashion and will let you know what works and what doesn’t.

It was a tough job checking all these stores out but we managed to suck it up and get it done for all our fabulous Joy followers. The next one we have is Mocha and it is located at 62/18 Looranah Street, Jindalee.
Mocha 6

Mocha has it all, from jewellery, fashion, homewares, children’s gifts and some fabulous furniture and an amazing clock that I have my eye on, as well as some groovy little gift ideas for men. I also love that they stock the beautiful willow tree range of figurines that are always a beautiful gift. They have styled a couple of corners with amazing furniture and some homewares around them with lamps that are turned on and it just made me want to sit down and read a book. There was also a lovely table full of handbags and to all you ladies out there who can’t resist an awesome new bag.

Mocha also hosts an annual fashion parade which I attended just recently. What a great idea. Tracey the delightful lady who owns and runs Mocha holds this event in September/October each year with all her latest fashion. We arrived at 7 and got seats right in front of the red carpet where we had our complimentary glass of champagne and then could order tapas and drinks from the pepper lounge which is right next door. Tracey had a huge range of fashion and it was lovely to see models that covered all age groups. If you attend the fashion parade Tracey also offers a discount on anything purchased on the night (of course I couldn’t resist) YAHOO!!!! So keep an eye on the facebook page for any other upcoming events and don’t forget the fashion parade, which was so nice to be able to attend such a great event where we didn’t have to travel to the city.

Nest Homewares and Gifts at Kenmore Plaza also offers a fabulous range of homewares and gifts. They have a great selection for men which is difficult to find in most locations.

Happy Shopping lovelies, and remember if you call into to any of these great stores say hi from the girls at the Joy Project.
