Now for all of you who have been following my blog on markets let me guess you have been interested in the markets but are finding it hard to get there on a Saturday.
Well never fear I have found one that operates on a Sunday from 7am-12.30pm. It is the Eagle Farm Markets. We ventured along to these markets with the kids for the first time and thought it would be a nice excuse to catch up with some other family members.
So my two sisters and their husbands came along with a set of in-laws and my very new delightful little nephew. What a great morning. We had the obligatory look around with the kids of course yelling I want one of those, can I have some of that, do I have to share …… And so on.
Anyway after a look around we found a table underneath the grandstand for the racetrack which the kids thought was pretty cool, and we all took it in turns of venturing off to find some new delicious food to try. these markets were great, while you can do your fruit and veg shop here they also have plenty of food stalls that you can try and several international stalls that the kids loved.
There were a few gluten free stalls and a great butcher offering gluten free and preservative free meat. Actually the man selling his sausages and cooking some up for you to try was so amazing that he gave our son (who at the time was on a very strict diet and there was very little he could eat) gave him a couple of cooked sausages to eat and didn’t want to take any Money for them.
P.s they were awesome sausages which our son who is very fussy also loved. Of course along with meat there was seafood, bakery items, plenty of coffee, tea and hot chocolate stalls as well as sweets, cheese and plenty of deli items.
These markets didn’t just have food stalls there was also plenty of stalls selling arts and crafts, clothing and house and garden goods.
So if you find yourself at a loose end on a Sunday why not he’d to the Eagle Farm Markets and invite some friends along for a great morning out.
