Bunya Mountains

Dear Joy Friends

The beautiful Dr Claudia Cadona from Sherwood Chiropractic, , who we have mentioned before in our blog on chiros and physios has done a couple of special guest blogs for us and first up we have the Bunya Mountains.

Thankyou so much Claudia.

For those outdoorsy, adventure loving people the Bunya Mountains is a great place to explore! It is nature at its best and offers a truly beautiful, picturesque view of gorgeous mountain terrain. There is a number of amazing trail walks to explore, all different distances – for those who just want a leisurely stroll to the more serious of trail walkers.

The Bunya Mountains are about a 3hr drive north west of Brisbane. It is one of Queensland’s oldest national parks. The mountain tops are covered with the stunning bunya pines, a tree I have never had the pleasure of seeing before! The walks, winding thru the dense rainforest, are exciting as you experience seeing the lovely waterfalls, animals, reptiles or one of the 120 different species of birds inhabiting the park.

The Bunya Mountains are great for a day trip, where you can pack a picnic and enjoy a lovely barbecue lunch, or there are a number of cute cabins for longer stays. It really is a great escape in nature.

I would recommend taking insect repellant, as there are tics in some of the vegetation. Also the weather can be cooler than elsewhere so be prepared with a jacket!

Thanks again Claudia 🙂 now pack a picnic and head off

Blessings
