And so we come to the beautiful tree lined James Street !
For those who have lived here a while then you will know this street in Fortitude Valley
And for those who are new let me introduce you to this little gem
James street is not for the bargain hunter but it is for those in search of those beautiful exquisite things whether that be that special chair for your kitchen nook or that stunning french designed dress, to that obscure yet perfect little gift .
There are open air coffee shops and restaurants all wafting out amazing aromas that draw you into each one as you walk past . And restaurants that can even turn me into a foodie, and I know Jo will be covering some of these in later blogs
This is the perfect street for a get together with some friends for a coffee or a meal and a browse along the beautiful shop windows
Which as you can imagine is exactly what we JOY girls did for you today ( I know the sacrifices we make for you all 🙂 )
Here are a couple of our favourites
The Greenhouse homewares store, this beautiful quirky little shop has an eclectic selection of gifts and home wares that you may not have thought you needed, but may realise you just have to have. And I know we will be back when we have gifts to buy
Then there is St Barts which is a home wares shop with rugs, lamps, beautiful vases and furniture, they also have some stunning clothes as well and they always seem to have a small sale area on the clothing rail where you never know what treasure you may find
The Cinema Palace is a great addition to the street and they host many film festivals during the year
The cafes and restaurants here are fabulous and are favourite Brisbane place to eat Gerards has its home here too
As the time ticked by and the school bell got closer, we had to drag ourselves away from this beautiful street and back to reality
But if you find yourself with some free time on a beautiful day take a stroll down James street x
