Barbers in Brisbane

Dear Joy Readers

Now I know most of our blogs probably interest more ladies then men so this one we thought we would do solely for all you men out there.

We have done some research and found some barbers that may interest you. The first one we found by accident or should I say my husband did. Our normal hairdresser is out of action with a hand injury so Matt had to look elsewhere as things were starting to get a little wild. He found the recently opened Man and Moustache Co at Looranah Street Jindalee.

Now this is a traditional Barber shop, you can walk in off the street with no appointment and are greeted with a beer. My husband tells me it is quite the man cave with a lovely big couch to relax on while you wait and even a pool table. For those of you who are looking for a cutthroat shave and hot towel then you can get it here. You can contact them on 3162 2277.

Next up we Male Escape Gentelman’s Grooming at 2095 Moggill Road Kenmore. Now you will need an appointment for this one and you can contact them on 3378 0591. Now the lovely Sarah has used this one for the men in her family and gives it the Joy Project thumbs up

I have also use the Ommini Barbers at the Mt Ommaney Shopping Centre just next to the dry cleaners and across from the Post office several times for my son when I have left it to the last minute and shcool photos are due and his head looks like a mop. You don’t need an appointment here and generally you don’t have to wait too long. You can contact them on 3376 4095.

So Ian my man works in the city on Adelaide street, and has come across an awesome new barber there called Emporium Barber and they are uber cool 🙂

With a barista, and a beer and soda fridge, basically a whole other level of barbers ! Now these guys have been in Fortitude valley for a while but have just opened up in Adelaide street in the city as well and are going great guns. They have taken the barber experience to a whole other level while still retaining the basics of an awesome cut and shave.

Lastly we have Jimmy Rods which is a big chain here in Brisbane and has locations all over, you can just walk in with these guys. They don’t offer the extras of the man cave but they do offer a good traditional hair cut.
