Anyone for Coffee in the western burbs of Brisbane

Looking for a new coffee spot, we are most definitely the girls to ask 🙂

So we’re going to tell you about some of our favourite places,  1st up ……

We were having a Joy meeting and decided to go to the single guys which is a cafe and coffee roasters, located at 2/2051 Moggill Rd Kenmore. A Great little find with fabulous coffee and a great looking menu. I didn’t eat but Sarah had the rice pudding with chia and rhubarb and candied almonds and I of course swiped some and it was delicious.

Yep I can confirm that Jo was very restrained 🙂 whereas I always seem to find room for a little something. Have to say it was a hard choice as even though a small breakfast menu its all so yummy and the lady sitting next to us was having avocado with feta on sourdough yum !! ( back to you Jo 🙂 )

Now if you love their coffee you can buy it at their online store and also if you are looking at opening a cafe or already have a cafe and want to improve your coffee contact these guys as they distribute their coffee also.

The staff were very friendly and the surroundings were lovely, very modern not soft a cosy but you do feel somewhere very cool and chic.

There is also a fantastic little shop next door Vintage Etcetera that is well worth spending some time in after you have had a coffee.

Another top Joy tip is  The Gunshop Cafe at Westend. This is a fabulous trendy little place in Westend. Now remember you can’t book a table so you just have to arrive and wait for a table. I have found in the past if you are up early as most of us are with little ones then no problem getting a table, but if you wait until around 10am which of course is when all the beautiful people are out and about you may have to wait a while, but it is worth it.

It looks small from the front but they have tables that go right out to the back, and the morning we went we were put on a table right up the back under our own little pergola and felt very special. The food and service here are amazing and just a tip the portions are quite large.

The coffee is fabulous and I have also had their chai in the past which is amazing and they actually make real chai at the Gunshop.

For brunch Sarah and I had one of the gunshop classics which was potato and feta hash cake, herbed sour cream, baby spincah and truss cherry tomatoes, of course we added a side of bacon.

Chrissy decided on something sweet and had the Brioche french toast pistachio mascarpone, Mt Tamborine rhubarb, raspberry coulis and toasted almond falkes. Actually big serves was great as we got to try some of Chrissy’s massive plate of french toast, Delicious!!!!

Now if you don’t want to go all the way to West End there is a coffee shop at Paddington which is called Anouk which is very similar to the Gunshop Cafe and you can’t book but equally so the food is amazing.

Sarah here, jumping back in, as I heard Jo mention Paddington and I love Paddington 🙂 there are so many gorgeous little coffee shops here and a new one that we have found is called Paddington Deli and Epicerie which is a beautiful little place that also doubles as a deli ( hence the name 😉 ) right next door to the antiques centre .

They have some pavement tables as well as a couple of tables inside , one detail we love is that tea is served in beautiful china teapots with cups and saucers which always feels so special .

So much coffee and so little time 🙂 so get exploring

Blessings
